I have owned these headphones for about 8 years and they have performed well throughout these years.I just recently broke them, it was completely my fault, I wasn't paying attention and snapped one of the over-the-ear hooks off.I even bought a pair of headphones to replace them, but they are not as good as these, so I still use a broken set of Sony MDR-J20s. I am about to order a new set so that I don't look silly on the train with one broken headphone.In addition, the cable tangling lot (no mention frayed). I am pretty sure that I have used these at the gym in the past, but I didn't notice any movement.Im not an outside runner, as most do I use the treadmill or elliptical machines..
